Lessons Learned from a Year in the Sub-Antarctic Region
In 2013, I left my job in an advertising agency and joined a British Royal Air Force expedition to the Falkland Islands.
This was my third visit to the islands, a place I affectionately called ‘The Last Outpost’.
The Falklands, with its contentious and isolated landscape, felt like a relic from another time.
Unlike my previous visits, this time I would be staying for a year, facing many challenges and learning valuable lessons along the way..
