A Thrilling Encounter with a Mountain Lion Leads to a Breathtaking Northern Lights Display

On a chilly October night, I found myself exploring the scenic beauty of West Glacier near Lake McDonald with two friends.

As the group’s designated photographer, my objective was to find the perfect spot for astrophotography.

While strolling along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, we suddenly heard rustling from the woods to our right.

In an instant, a mountain lion leaped onto the road.

Its piercing eyes sent shivers down my spine, and adrenaline surged through my veins.

Acting swiftly, we surrounded the majestic creature, shouting and making loud noises until it finally retreated.

Barely five minutes after this heart-stopping encounter, a green glow caught my eye as I gazed up at the night sky.

Determined to capture this magical moment, we hastened our search for a suitable beach.

Once we found one, I quickly set up my camera and managed to capture a series of stunning images showcasing the incredible northern lights display..
